That is the story of Linor Shabani. A story that shows us why it's always worth believing in yourself.
Never give up and keep going.
Even when life puts obstacles in your way.
The story, the hard fight to the top and the ambition of a special person is told to you in this blog post.
It should show you why it is always worthwhile to work on yourself. In Linors Falls, this also meant: two GAMECHANGER
When Linor came to Bavaria from North-Rhine-Westphalia ten years ago, he had a big dream: he wanted to become a professional soccer player. Make it all the way to the top.
First and foremost, he wants to make his family happy and provide his parents with a carefree future without financial hardships and work until old age.
For the fact that when he was a child, they were always there for him and did everything for him.
However, in his first year, he sits almost exclusively on the bench. And that in the B-youth with a Bayern league team. Not the best conditions for a professional career.
His friends tell him to stop. Tell him it doesn't make sense anymore. But Linor refuses to stop.
One of the most important reasons — as he says today — was his father, who always believed in him and never wanted to disappoint.
A new coach is coming for the new season and therefore also a new opportunity. Linor thinks.
But the coach has a roster list. Four names are marked on this list — including his. According to the coach, three of these four would have to leave after the next game.
Linor scores a goal and prepares for a second.
Things go much better for him after this key experience. Linor plays. And also makes the step out of youth in the first team a little later.
He now knows how important this period was for him:”At this age, it is often the case that the path of life for a boy like me is decided to a certain extent. Either you slide off, get on the wrong track, or you bite your way through and fight your way up! ”
But Linor wants more, wants to go all the way to the top. He is so motivated that he is always looking for competition and a challenge.
If he doesn't feel well before a game, he goes to the soccer field first. There they then play small but hard-fought tournaments. That's when he regains his self-confidence and combat strength.
The motto was: Eat or be eaten.
On the soccer field as well as in a club.
But even when everything is going optimally, as a young soccer player, you quickly get the wrong idea. There are many reasons why. Impatience, excessive ambition, a bad environment, or the wrong advisor.
You want to achieve everything as quickly as possible and you immediately soar after every good game.

That is exactly what happened to Linor. Today, he knows that becoming a professional requires much more than delivering an above-average performance in two or three games in a row.
He reports that his temperament has also often brought himself into unnecessary difficulties on the pitch and that as a young person with an immigrant background, it is generally even more difficult.
He appreciates all the more how much he has learned at his club. Not only in sports, but especially in the social sector.
That was extremely important for his personal development and he is at least as proud of it today as he is of his achievements on the pitch.
When Linor still had two years of contract, his club was promoted to the regional league. With a very young team, in which he is one of the absolute top performers. He plays every game.
The success arouses the ambitions of more renowned and higher-class associations. Three of his teammates make the jump and switch. After this strong season, Linor is also expecting offers and anticipates opportunities to take the next step.
He is constantly thinking about a possible change. He is so close to finally being able to say that he has done it! But the offers don't come and he starts to doubt. In himself and in his big dream of becoming a professional soccer player.
And that turns out to be a decisive mistake. He has his head somewhere else, falls into a performance low and loses his regular place: “The soccer business is brutal. You're down just as fast as you were at the top. ”
But instead of fighting his way straight back up, he lets himself fall for now. He has no choice but to change clubs.
He moves back to the Bayernliga, to a newcomer and finds himself in a completely new soccer world. A world that he did not know before and that pulls him down.
During training, he feels underwhelmed and adapts. On and off the pitch. He no longer works as hard and disciplined as before, loses his fitness and gains weight.
But actually, Linor still wants to know. After a very instructive year, he returns to his old club with a great deal of humility.
There he starts from scratch again, but he works and fights his way back into the team.
This will to fight back again and again is what set him apart back then in the B-Youth and continues to do so today.
Coaches who more or less made him understand that he could not play soccer, the doubters in his environment and every single setback only motivated Linor even more and ultimately made him what he is today.
That is why he is not mad at her, but rather very grateful.
The decisive message is as follows: No matter what setbacks you face, no matter how bad the signs are for you, never let yourself get down. You must never give up!
If you want to achieve your goals, you always have to stay fully focused and always do more than the others!
In the end, Linor did not become a professional soccer player. But soccer has made him who he is now, with all corners and edges.
Thanks to soccer, he was very disciplined throughout his life. Football kept him from doing a lot of stupid things back then and also always made Linor believe in himself.
That's why Linor got a tattoo: “Belive in yourself”.
That is his motto.
In recent weeks and months, it hasn't always been easy to remain focused and disciplined. What distinguished Linor throughout his life, what he fought for and what he worked for years against all resistance, was called into question. But you can't just score a decisive goal quickly against a global pandemic...
Football thrives on joint training and competition. If something like this is forbidden, then we are all missing an important part of our lives. A part that actually defines our personality to a certain extent.
Even during this time, Linor never gave up. That's why he completely worked through the game changer twice during the lockdown. Sometimes it's just good to have a reliable partner by your side who won't let you down, especially in difficult times.
