CRUCIATE LIGAMENT RUPTURE — PREVENTION AND REHABILITATION AT PROFESSIONAL LEVEL

It is a sound and a feeling that you can never forget again — the torn cruciate ligament: That slight bang when the cruciate ligament ruptures and the feeling that something really bad has just happened. Unfortunately, knee injuries are very common — and usually serious — especially in soccer.

Football is then completely out of the question, because both surgery and long-term rehab are on the agenda.

And that's exactly what we developed our comeback training for. This allows you to work on your comeback every day, just like the Bundesliga pros. And all this via app.

FIGHT YOUR INJURY NOW!

Less than 50% of affected players return to the soccer field within the first year after surgery — and of those who return, 25% suffer a second cruciate ligament injury.

It is also clear that 50% of players have degenerative diseases such as osteoarthritis within 10-15 years of the injury and that is exactly where we want to start.

EXPERT KNOWLEDGE FOR YOUR REHAB AT PROFESSIONAL LEVEL

Oliver Schmidtlein has seen a lot in his professional career — he worked as a physiotherapist in the USA, with the Münchner Löwen, FC Bayern Munich and finally with the German national soccer team. His career reads like the modern dream of every physiotherapist. Schmidt's path, however, is also characterized by the constant “desire to change” and the burden of the misunderstood pioneer.

He and his team from OSPHYSIO are one of the best things that can happen to an athlete in the event of an injury or to increase individual performance potential. We are all the more proud and honored to be able to announce:

Rehabilitation expert Oliver Schmidtlein will provide B42 with advice and assistance in the future.

A VERY DECISIVE COMPONENT OF THIS IS ALSO SPECIFIC CHANGE OF DIRECTION TRAINING:

Don't just train acceleration — because deceleration is crucial because the ankle, knee joint and hip must withstand great forces and run the risk of being overloaded.

Changes of direction occur frequently in soccer. Moving your body in the desired direction faster than your opponent can give you the decisive advantage.

All you need is three marking aids for this exercise

And this is how it works:

  1. Start at the back marker
  2. Sprint forward to the left marker
  3. Sprint backwards to the starting point
  4. Now sprint as fast as possible to the front mark
  5. Keep your body center of gravity low when changing direction
  6. The last sprint from start marker to front marker should be as fast as possible

Depending on the level of training, the technique of changing direction can be adjusted — at the beginning, the cones can be started in a controlled manner to simulate changes of direction that are as “soft” as possible — with increasing safety, you can explosively change your directions and thus make full use of your acceleration.
